SMCSI's youth program was formed to encourage students from grades 5th thru 7th

to prepare for future success in engineering, technology and robotics.

2019 YOUTH SUMMER CAMP

ROBOTICS

This is a 5 day summer camp, where the students will learn about VEX Robotics and have the chance to build a robot to compete in a competition at the end of camp week. The 5th - 7th grade students will engage in building and programming their own robots. They will learn the importance of assembly, team building, and communication skills that are needed to engineer and develop their robot. Once the robot is built they will have to program the moves of the robot. Students also will learn the importance of when the robot doesn’t function proper ways to troubleshoot the problem

COST: $50*

*Includes Lunch each day, T-shirt & Field Trip Costs

JUNE 24th - 28th - MONDAY - FRIDAY

CAMP SCHEDULE

Monday: 9am - 12pm Camp at CSI. Lunch at Hudson High School. Pick up at HHS at 12:30pm

Tuesday: 9am - 12pm Camp at CSI. Lunch at Hudson High School. Pick up at HHS at 12:30pm

Wednesday: 9am - 12pm Camp at CSI. Lunch at Hudson High School. Pick up at HHS at 12:30pm

Thursday: 9am - 3pm FIELD TRIP in HUDSON. Walking to Hudson Bowling Lanes/Ten Pin for Pizza and Bowling. Then walk to DZ Lazer Tag and Bobbye’s Dairyland Ice Cream.** Pick up at CSI at 3:00pm
Friday: 9am - 12pm at CSI for VEX ROBOTICS COMPETITION. Lunch at Hudson High School. Pick up at HHS.

**Thursday for our Field Trip, we will be taking the students to the Hudson Bowling Lanes on Market St. for a fun pizza lunch and students will be able to bowl a couple games. Following this we will then walk to the Hudson DZ Laser Tag on Main St. to play a round of laser tag. Then off for an ice cream treat and plan to arrive back to CSI by 3pm. All bowling, pizza, laser tag and ice cream is included in the camp fee cost. The students will receive their camp T-shirt to wear this day! They will have the option to change when they get here or just throw their camp shirt over whatever they have on.

PLEASE NO FLIP FLOPS AT CAMP, STUDENTS MUST WEAR CLOSED TOED SHOES!
